Hey friends and readers! Just wanted to post a quick update as it has been a while. We have been enjoying being a part of our local farmer’s market and it has kept us quite busy! New ways to manage time as well as flexibility have been vital skills to navigating the farmer’s market (especially when the growing season did not go as planned with wacky Midwest weather!). We are nowhere close to mastering this market thing, but we are taking it one week at a time and enjoying all the new friends made as well as all the new knowledge gained.
Other happenings include taking in a lone duckling who has become the flock favorite as she is completely bonded with my daughter. (Note: before taking in a lone duckling ensure you are willing to accommodate said duckling for up to but not limited to 6 weeks in your laundry room). Lucky (as she has been dubbed) has finally joined her ducky friends in the yard (hallelujah!).
Gardens have also been greatly expanded this year with more plans to expand again next year, as well as hopefully adding a greenhouse and maybe bees (yay! honey!).
